Stella Maessen, known professionally by her first name, is a Dutch singer who started her career in the 1970s.
Initially part of the trio Hearts of Soul with her sisters Bianca and Patricia, she came to fame as a backing singer for Rob de Nijs before embarking on their own career, which saw them represent their country twice: first on home soil in the Eurovision Song Contest 1970 in Amsterdam with song "Waterman", finishing in 7th place with 7 points and a second time representing Belgium seven years later in London with Belgian singer Luc Semts as the group Dream Express, finishing in 7th place with 69 points with the song "A Million in One, Two, Three".
Following the breakup of the group, they went on to separate projects which saw Stella represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 in Harrogate with the song 'Si tu aimes ma musique", which finished in 4th place with 96 points.
In 2010, she reunited with Bianca and another sister Doreen, who replaced the late Patricia, to reform Hearts of Soul.
