Poland has participated in the Contest 24 times since its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 in Dublin where it finished as runner-up which remains its best result. It has reached the Top 10 on two further occasions.
Since the introduction of the semi finals, it has failed to qualify for the final nine times, including finishing in last place at this stage in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with its entrant Magdalena Tul.
It made its debut at the inaugural Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, finishing in last place. It has competed a further four times, including another last place finish and their first-ever win at the 2018 Contest in Minsk. Their second came the following year on home soil in Gliwice-Silesia, making them the first country ever to win the junior edition of the Contest two years in a row.
