Monica Zetterlund was a Swedish singer and actress.
She began her career by singing popular songs on the radio, often in English, even though she did not understand the language. Throughout her career, she released dozens of albums and singles as well as appearing in twenty films.
She is best known for representing her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 in London with the song "En gång i Stockholm", which finished in joint last place with the entries from The Netherlands, Norway and Finland. This made her the first of only two acts representing her home country to achieve this result in the Contest but the only participant to achieve Nul Points as of 2023.
Due to an accident during her childhood, she suffered from scoliosis throughout her life and retired in 1999. She died on 12 May 2005 at the age of 67 due to a fire in her apartment.
