"Das alte Karussell" (English: The old carousel) was the first of two entries that represented Switzerland on home soil in the very first Eurovision Song Contest in Lugano, sung by Lys Assia. She won the Contest with her second entry "Refrain", which she performed later that evening.
As with the other entries, the amount of points it achieved has never been revealed.
