The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the 55th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest held in Oslo, Norway following Alexander Rybak's win the previous year with the song "Fairytale".
It was the country's third hosting of the event, hosting previously in 1986 and 1996. The two semi-finals took place on 25 May and 27 May respectively, and the final on 29 May.
No country made its debut while Georgia returned. Andorra, Czech Republic, Hungary and Montenegro withdrew from competing.
The winner was Lena of Germany with the song "Satellite". It was the country's second win, coming 28 years after its first and the first time a Big Four nation won the event since the semi-finals started.
