The Eurovision Song Contest 2000 was the 45th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest held in Stockholm, Sweden following Charlotte Nilsson giving the country its fourth win with the song "Take Me to Your Heaven".
Latvia made its debut while Finland, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Romania, Russia and Switzerland made their return. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Slovenia withdrew from competing.
The Contest was won by Denmark's representative the Olsen Brothers with the song "Fly on the Wings of Love". This was the country's second win and brought to an end a 37-year wait for anther victory.
