The Eurovision Song Contest 1988 was the 33rd edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held on 30 April 1988 in Dublin, Ireland following Johnny Logan giving the country its third win the previous year with the song "Hold Me Now".
No country made its debut while Cyprus returned. No country withdrew from competing.
The Contest was won for the second time by Switzerland with the song "Ne partez pas sans moi" by Céline Dion, coming 32 years on from its first win in the inaugural Contest in Lausanne. As of 2023, this is the last victory for the country.
