The Eurovision Song Contest 1982 was the 27th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held on 24 April in Harrogate, England, United Kingdom following the group Bucks Fizz giving the nation its fourth win the previous year with the song "Making Your Mind Up".
No country made its debut or returned while France and Greece withdrew from competing.
The Contest was won for the first time ever by Germany with the song "Ein bißchen Frieden" by Nicole. This would remain the country's only victory until Lena won the 2010 Contest in Oslo with the song "Satellite".
