The Eurovision Song Contest 1980 was the 25th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held on 19 April 1980 in The Hague, The Netherlands which offered to host the Contest after the previous year's winner Israel declined to host for the second year in a row due to financial matters.
Morocco made its debut while Turkey returned. Both Israel and Monaco withdrew from competing.
The Contest was won for the second time by Ireland with the song "What's Another Year" by Johnny Logan. This win came a decade on from its first win in Amsterdam.
