The Eurovision Song Contest 1975 was the 20th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held on 22 March 1975 in Stockholm, Sweden after the group ABBA gave the country its first-ever victory the previous year with the song "Waterloo".
Nineteen countries participated. Turkey made its debut while France and Malta returned. Greece withdrew from competing.
The 12-point scoring system that exists to this day was introduced in this edition. The very first "douze points" was awarded to Luxembourg by The Netherlands.
The Netherlands was the winning country for the fourth time with the song "Ding-a-Dong" by the group Teach-In. This would remain the country's last victory until the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv.
