Charlotte Perrelli, née Nilsson, is a Swedish singer who began her career in 1987. To date, she has released seven studio albums and several singles.
Under her maiden name, she was chosen to represent her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 in Jerusalem with the song "Take Me to Your Heaven", which gave the country its fourth victory in the Contest.
Returning nine years later in Belgrade, she again represented her home country, this time using her married name, with the song "Hero" but although she qualified for the final, the song finished in a lowly 18th place with 47 points.

From 2003 to 2006, she was the aunt of Benjamin Ingrosso, who represented the country at the 2018 Contest in Lisbon.
