Andorra has participated in the Contest six times, debuting in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul. It was the second principality to do so following Monaco.
They withdrew from participating after 2009 due to financial reasons and they are the only country to have participated in the Contest and never to have featured in the final.
In November 2019, Andorran broadcaster RTVA stated that they would be open to co-operating with Catalan broadcaster TVC to participate in future contests. The Andorran government later announced that RTVA would eventually return to the contest.
